Good Bye Cherry Blossoms and Happy Mother's Day!
April came and gone so fast.
Did you get to enjoy cherry blossoms? Despite the fluctuation of temperature and all the rain, there were some glorious blooms around the city, including Roosevelt Island. I visited the Island for the first time ever to photograph families who grew up in DC area. While the scene was no comparison to the Tidal Basin, we were still able to get some pretty blooms in the photos. You may recognize these lovely ladies and sisters who run the amazing Raising Astoria.
Meanwhile, Kim Calichio kept her students busy with dough-theme series. The students made pasta, dumpling, quiche, quesadilla, just to name a few.
Check out The Connected Chef cooking series.
April was also time for Astoria Preschool Dance
annual photo shoot.
While many of the little ones from last year
have grown up into gracious young
ballerinas (or unicorn fairy), new pre-step
students entered with super vibrant
personalities that was so fun to capture.
Last but not least, to celebrate Mother’s Day.
I was honored to photograph Christine Serdjenian Yearwood, Founder and CEO of Up Stand and a brand new mother of two this Mother’s Day. She is a symbol of a mother who creates change for the betterment of our community. Congratulations Christine!
Through this loving moment of the last photo, TangySweet would like to sending love, appreciation, respect, and strength to all the mothers out here! The juggle is real and I see you!!!!
See you soon!
